Contribution to permanent exhibition at Drammens Museum “Hverdagshest og høytidshest” curated by professor Mikkel Tin in collaboration with architect and smith Eskil Tin.

My task was to take “portraits” of the objects from museum collection - monstrous animal heads that often adorned høvrene (shaft bows or arches above horse neck) in the 18th - 19th century in Norway. Originally in folk culture they had a purpose to scary away the evil forces. In Mikkel´s story the protective monsters are increased in size and grouped together, playing the role of guards on the transition bridge between the realm of the living and the realm of the dead.
